加州 橙市---- 2025年12月13日傍晚，光谱教育的老师与志愿者们参加由Ronald McDonald House Charities（麦当劳叔叔之家慈善基金）组织的爱心烹饪活动，走进 CHOC 橙县儿童医院，为住院儿童及其家属现场烹饪营养、美味的爱心晚餐，为假期期间无法回家的孩子们送去关怀与温暖。

活动当天，志愿者们提前分工协作，制定菜单，采购所需食材。从食材准备到烹饪、摆盘，每一个细节都饱含用心。志愿者们纷纷制作各自的拿手好菜，从传统的中国美食，如饺子、水煎包、炒饭，到西式佳肴，如意大利面、烤鸡腿和沙拉，再到饭后的水果与点心，菜品种类丰富多样，为病人及家属提供了不同口味需求的丰富选择。

活动现场，很多病人及其家属纷纷对志愿者们用心烹饪的美味佳肴表示感谢与称赞，许多人选择将餐食打包带走，让这份温暖继续在医院中延续。对于长期需要陪护孩子的家属而言，这顿晚餐不仅减轻了他们的生活负担。让他们在病房与家庭之间奔波中得以短暂放松，同时也感受到来自社会的温暖与关怀。

Orange, CA — On December 13, 2025, teachers and volunteers from Spectrum Education Group joined a Ronald McDonald House Charities event to prepare and serve a nutritious dinner for hospitalized children and their families at CHOC Children’s Hospital, bringing support and care to those unable to return home during the holiday season.

On the day of the event, volunteers coordinated in advance to plan the menu and  ingredients. The team prepared a wide variety of dishes, ranging from traditional Chinese foods such as dumplings, pan-fried buns, and fried rice to Western favorites including pasta, roasted chicken legs, and salads, along with fruit and desserts, offering diverse options to meet different tastes.

Many patients and their families expressed their gratitude and praise for the thoughtfully prepared meals. Many chose to take the food back with them, allowing the warmth of the evening to continue throughout the hospital. For families who must stay at the hospital to care for their children, the dinner helped ease daily burdens and offered a brief moment of rest moved between hospital rooms and home, reminding them of the care and support of our local community.
